Jade Wellness Studio is a yoga and wellness centre in downtown Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. Their studio started out as an old vacant space that was previously used as a gym. Jade was looking for a fresh, clean and zen-like space to accommodate two large studio areas for class instruction as well as a welcoming reception area and a retail boutique, small functional treatment rooms, a lounge, an art gallery, change rooms, a kitchenette and public washrooms. 

This tranquil design uses curved walls and bulkheads to create a natural flow while maintaining harmony throughout the space; the flush door frames with recessed details minimize visual distractions. Soft whites were used throughout to give the space a clean and fresh atmosphere while the jade green accents provide the space with an energy that reflects the use of the space and the branding of the studio. This design boasts sustainable design elements and materials such as bamboo flooring, low VOC paints, energy efficient light fixtures and water efficient plumbing fixtures to ensure a small footprint on the environment while remaining consistent with the studio's philosophies.
